Psych Social - From Theory to Therapist Chair
Psych Social - a weekly club for pursuing or practicing psychologists
An initiative by SEVEE CARE, under the mentorship of Parita Sharma
Psych Social is a weekly circle created as a safe talk space for psychologists — for those who are studying psychology and for those already practicing it. We meet every Wednesday from 7:00–8:30 PM. The space is designed to bring psychologists together to reflect, question, and grow - both personally and professionally.
Becoming a therapist is not only about studying theories. It is about learning how to sit with another human being - responsibly, thoughtfully, and with emotional awareness.
Psych Social is built on a simple belief: don’t just know your client, understand your client.
And to understand another human being honestly, a therapist must first learn to understand themselves. This is why personal reflection and seeking one’s own therapy are considered an important part of becoming a responsible therapist.
Psych Social functions as a supervision and reflective learning circle. Participants bring case studies, real questions from their practice, and dilemmas from the therapy room. Together we explore the ongoing dynamics of therapy - transference, countertransference, emotional reactions, moments of uncertainty in sessions, and the subtle exchanges that happen between therapist and client.
We also openly discuss the practical realities therapists often face but rarely get space to explore: how to respond when a client is disrespectful, how to hold boundaries through a therapy contract, how to navigate suicidal disclosures, and how to repair difficult moments in therapy. The intention is not simply to talk about therapy, but to understand what it truly means to sit in the therapist’s chair.
This is not a competitive space. It is a supportive circle where psychologists hold each other’s vulnerabilities with respect. We share openly, listen carefully, and support one another in becoming more grounded therapists.
Curriculum
Psych Social does not follow a fixed syllabus, and there is no certificate at the end.
If you are studying psychology or already practicing it, you already have access to theory. What we are creating here is something different - a space for connection, reflection, and growth.
Participants present, share, ask questions, and learn from one another. Topics often emerge from the curiosity and needs of the group. Under Parita’s mentorship, everyone gets the opportunity to participate, present, reflect, and absorb.
If you prefer to simply observe without sharing or participating, this may not be the right space for you.

What we mean when we say safe space
A safe space means confidentiality, respect, and psychological safety for every participant. What is shared in the room stays in the room.
This responsibility extends beyond the session itself. Even if participants choose to connect individually or as a group outside the room, the same commitment to confidentiality and respect must be maintained. Nothing discussed within Psych Social should be shared outside the circle.
Maintaining this environment is extremely important and non-negotiable. Any violation of confidentiality, respect, or professional conduct will lead to immediate termination from the group - without warnings and without refund.
Program Structure & Fees
The program runs in a 12-session cycle, with each session lasting 1.5 hours, allowing depth, trust, and continuity within the group. Sessions take place every Wednesday from 7:00–8:30 PM. Rarely there may be holidays, which are accounted for within the 12-session cycle.
Fees: for the 12-session cycle (*Subject to change without prior notice)
• ₹6000 per person
• ₹4700 per person when registering as a group of five
Please note: there are no refunds or adjustments for missed sessions due to participant absence.
If you want to become a therapist who truly understands people - this is the room where that work begins.ss
