Hi, I am Mahek Doshi, a 22-year-old Associate Counselling Psychologist based in Ahmedabad. For me, psychology is much more than studying and understanding the human mind and behaviour. I believe I have always had the emotional bandwidth and capacity to understand people. What fascinates me about psychology is that there is no absolute right or wrong; everything can be viewed from multiple perspectives. It is often a reflection of one’s beliefs, experiences, and understanding of a situation. It ultimately comes down to an individual's beliefs and the meaning they attach to their experiences

My Story
My journey began in my hometown of Jamnagar, Gujarat, where I was first introduced to psychology after the tenth grade. Since that day, my passion for the field has only grown. As a girl from a small city, I had big dreams of becoming a psychologist, and today, looking back, I can confidently connect the dots as I proudly hold my Master’s degree from St. Xavier’s College, Ahmedabad. While creating a secure therapeutic space, active listening, and empathy are crucial foundations of my work, I wish to take a step further. I utilize a humanistic, client-centred approach where you are not just heard, but profoundly understood. Kindness is the core value I want to exchange and contribute to our society.
My specializations are with Career confusions, Relationship conflict, Anxiety (over-thinking) & mood disturbances. I firmly believe that every problem is manageable, but taking that first step is essential. Counselling is not just for those who want to "fix" something; it is a collaborative space for anyone who wishes to emotionally regulate, build adaptive coping mechanisms, and understand their behavioural patterns better.
As a therapist, compassion and resilience are qualities I have intentionally built over time, and I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to be a part of Team SEVEE. Under the guidance and mentorship of Parita Sharma, I look forward to learning, training, and actively contributing to the team. When I was selected, what made me happiest was the genuine empathy Parita and Akshey showed to me and my colleagues, which perfectly matches my own values of growing and learning together.
