Hello

I'm Bhakti Mehta, an Associate Psychologist based in Ahmedabad. What drew me to psychology wasn't a single defining moment, but a long-standing curiosity about people and the emotions that connects us all. I've always enjoyed understanding different perspectives, listening to people's stories, and exploring what helps individuals grow, heal, and make sense of their experiences

My Story

My path to psychology was not a direct one. I began my academic journey with a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology, which taught me to think scientifically and approach questions with curiosity and critical thinking. Over time, however, I found myself increasingly interested in understanding people and their experiences. This realization inspired me to pursue a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology at the National Forensic Sciences University, where I gained knowledge and practical training in psychological assessment, mental health care, and evidence-based therapeutic approaches.

During my professional training, I had the opportunity to work in psychiatric and de-addiction settings, where I gained exposure to psychological assessments, patient interviews, clinical documentation, and multidisciplinary mental healthcare. These experiences strengthened my understanding of the challenges individuals face and reinforced the importance of providing a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for healing and growth.

As a therapist, I strive to create that kind of space. A space where you don't have to have all the answers. A space where you can show up exactly as you are with your questions, fears, frustrations, hopes, and uncertainties. I believe therapy is not about fixing people because people are not broken. Rather, it is about understanding ourselves better, building resilience, and discovering new ways to move forward through life's challenges.

At SEVEE CARE, I have the opportunity to blend my academic learning with practical experience while growing under the mentorship of Parita Sharma and a team of experienced mental health professionals. SEVEE's commitment to creating a safe and supportive space for mental health aligns closely with the values I hope to bring into my own work as a psychologist.

Beyond psychology, I am someone who finds joy in stories, creativity, and exploration. I love reading, traveling, dancing, listening to music, and spending hours in libraries, museums, and art galleries. Art, in all its forms, fascinates me because it reveals different ways of understanding human experiences. I enjoy deep conversations about life, mythology, philosophy, and the questions that make us reflect on who we are. These interests continually remind me of the diversity of human experiences and deepen my appreciation for the unique stories each person carries. While I belong to Gen Z, I often feel like an old-school soul at heart, appreciating meaningful connections, thoughtful conversations, and the simple joys of life.

I believe that seeking help is a courageous step, and I would be honored to be a part of your journey toward healing, self-discovery and emotional well-being.
